RPI and Aid

If I were to go to RPI, with a $15,000 a year scholarship (as of now only $15,000 per year, possibly tacking on more money senior year), and my parents don't make very much money at all (below average), do you think I'd need to pay money to go there? I'm currently residing in Western New York, and RPI is in Troy, so I would have to live on campus.

I'd really appreciate any input on this matter.

Is the $15,000 for the medal?
Here is the site for their financial aid info, how to apply as well as what is available:

Lots of good links, especially the finaid web site which has a calculator to help you estimate your EFC (expected family contribution).

Yeah, the 15 grand/year is for the medal.

Hey Hookstra,

Don't worry too much about the cost. I'm going to RPI next year. My family's EFC is ~$3300. I got the Medal as well as additional scholarships and federal grants that added up to $33,000. Then they offered me $6625 in federal loans. All that was left was ~$4000. Luckily for me, I have $9,300 in outside scholarships :) Hoped that helped. Feel free to PM me if you have any specific Q's.
