Location: New Jersey
Interview: 2/3
Notification Date: 3/6

Except I'm from Maryland...

Didn't mean to mess up your hopes, but Mrs. Sullivan said the decisions would be periodically emailed following batches of interviews. Don't worry about it for now.

LOCATION: Long Island, NY
INTERVIEW: 1/23
NOTIFICATION: 3/6

My interview was in the 2nd week of Feb. I didn't get any emails, but today I did get two letters in the mail (applied to both) saying that I'm on their "still under consideration" list. ^ ^ dont really want to go to either, but still it'd be nice to have one combined degree to fall back on.

I got a letter today that said I was "still under consideration" also. It really blows... I think it's just a nice way of saying you were rejected. Was anyone rejected? I think its just either accepted or still under consideration. The reason I say I think its just a nice way of saying you are rejected is because I know for the Union program they accept 66/92 or so kids that interviewed. They only need about 15-20 kids to enroll and I'm sure out of those 66 that at least 15 enroll...thus "still under consideration" is quite stupid I think. Any thoughts on it? Congrats to everyone that made it though. It was a tough process but I'm sure you guys really deserve to get in!

i got flat out rejected

no, still in consideration doesn't mean that you're rejected. they have an elimination process where they accept you, reject you, or put you on kind of a waiting list...and they wait to see according to what they get back and the other interviewees they see whether or not they will accept you. so don't worry, you still have a chance!! i have yet to hear!

I am also "still under consideration list". But I received some good news, as I have been accepted to NYUs D.E.A.Ns Scholarship. $25,000 per year, renewable annually for 4 years and 3 days all expense paid trip to New York City on 31st March. NYU here I come, unless UNION/AMC or Brown surprises me.

accepted to Union AMC...didn't apply to rpi...want MBA with MD

i can't take it anymore!! betty sullivan said we would get a reply back on friday...i've literally become a hermit...sitting in my room and switching back and forth from my email inbox to this forum to see if anyone's heard anything

the wait is killing me!!

has anyone heard anything from RPI/Union/Siena/AMC since that last batch of emails/letters?

hah yea i feel ya. im on the still under consideration list too. its so annoying. im guessing theres alot better canditates on this list which decreases my chances of even being accepted from this pile. ive given up on union and it was my first choice. guess ill just have to wait to here from other places. its really frustrating but dont become a hermit. life goes on.

I was just wondering if any of you who applied are from southern california...

ok i havent even been contacted about anything from amc... i applied to rpi's program.

Just an update:

I still haven't heard anything from RPI/Union/AMC but I did find out some information.

Apparently the Admission Committee Reviews (Betty Sullivan's words, not mine) happen every Wednesday and one of my interviewers had a surgery last week so my name will either be on the agenda tomorrow or next week.

There's probably a similar situation with a lot of other people who applied so my advice is if you've been waiting around anxiously like I have, hold out one more day and maybe we'll find out by tomorrow evening.

This is the most info I could get out of the AMC admissions office and I'm not even sure how reliable it is. When I called RPI's admissions office they bluntly told me "Late March or early April."

So here's hoping that Betty Sullivan and the AMC adcom come through and some of us hear tomorrow!!

i got into union's program and i found out two weeks ago. i live in singapore, so they probably sent it out abt a month ago and my interview was mid february. they said that they will be sending out their decisions 2-3 weeks after the interview so... good luck to the rest of you!

Congrats Natasha. (I think I interview with you)

oh serious? from your previous posts abt how you should have applied to rpi cuz you're more into research... i'm guessing you're that nice korean boy i met hahah. congrats to you too dude, let me noe if you're gonna go!

if you're not korean, and not a boy.... whoops =

i just interviewed on friday and they said that anyone who interviewed on friday and monday will receive their decisions by the coming friday (admissions committee meets on wed). I thought the interviews went well and were fairly easy.

hiya doing tasha, pm me :) (you guessed right) you hear from R/B program?

Congratulations everybody for the acceptances and good luck to the people waiting. I'm in the RPI/AMC Physician-Scientist program and loving it...absolutely no regrets. Especially now, when alot of my friends at ivies are struggling w/ mcats and grades and some after graduating who have not been accepted to medical school yet, I feel really lucky to cut off a year of undergrad and go to AMC. RPI/AMC students have a fantastic reputation at AMC as being the best and you'll get that feeling from the start. The program is really chill and I've been so relaxed these past three years. I'm really appreciating it now. No MCATs, a manageable GPA requirement, and alot of time. If you have any questions about the program, feel free to ask.
