my major is cs
but im thinking of changing the major when i enter the college.
Binghamton is much cheaper
and it recently growing up

but then RPI's level is just different from Binghamton.
The problem is the financial problem.
My parents can barely afford for RPI and therefore they prefer Binghamton.
But i still can't let go of RPI

HELP ME PLZZZ

What are you planning to change your major to? RPI has a great computer science program, and coming out of RPI will look better than Bing when it comes to that type of major. However, if you plan to change your major to something outside of the Science field, then you would be better off going to Binghamton.

I really don’t know much about Binghamton’s computer science program, but truth be told, if you don’t go to RPI at least you won’t have tons of loans when you come out of college. I know that it sucks terribly to not be able to go to a school that you really want to, but you can look at it like this “I got into RPI , but I chose to not go for whatever reason.” The point is that you got in, and that you have the intelligence to do so.

You can’t really go wrong with either school. Binghamton is one of the best state schools in the entire country, and that certainly says something when you go out into the real world, and put it on your resume. My brother turned down practically a full ride from Drexel to go to RPI, because it’s one of the best engineering schools in the country. However, he’s having a hard time finding a job, even though he is coming out of RPI. The choice is yours, but you need to weigh every option.

Good luck with your decision, whichever school you pick will be the right one for you!

SeventeenWords nailed it. Honestly, it is always the better option to go to the respectable, more financially viable school. Unless the debt is manageable, it would be better to choose the cheaper option. Besides, it’s better to be at the top of your class than just average somewhere else :)

I am not sure about my major. It’s totally undeclared.
But maybe Engineering.
Thank you so much for your opinions lol

Any other opinions???
