alohasam,
not sure what you mean...do you mean that I posted that letters are coming out?

DS's letter was in a regular envelope, postmarked yesterday. Would like to wait until others from DS's school get their letters before I say anything more. I will note that we hardly ever get mail the day after it was sent!

I can just imagine how wired you all are -- I was a nervous wreck between the time the letter arrived and my son actually called home so I could get his permission to open it and read it to him. He was staying after school and his cell phone was off -- I called it about a dozen times before he finally turned the darned thing on and saw I'd been texting him.

I guess this is a taste of what next year will be like.

My son got his acceptance today (and we are on the west coast, BTW).

Here is the problem... He is thrilled to have been accepted, but RSI is not his absolute first choice for the summer. It is a close second. He wont know about his other option until the beginning of May.

Meanwhile, they want a letter by the end of the month saying if he accepts.
I am sure this has come up before. Does he just accept, and then pull out later? or accept, but mention he may pull out and why?

my suggestion is that your son flat - out accept, and then see what happens in May... you've got nothing to lose by doing this. Could I ask what his first choice is, by the way?

BTW congrats to everyone who's gotten in so far!!! how exciting
