@crazymonster : Wait, seriously, lulwustisthisidonteven…?

@chrxwxN, I THINK that everyone SHOULD be rejected at the same time. At least that was the way it was last year. But last year, even though everone was sopposed to be rejected on the same day, there was one guy who didn’t get his rejection email untill much later. There was even another person who got a rejection email, but received a letter saying he was an alternate.

@ RSIuser : Okay, thanks so much for digging through last year’s thread. Good luck, guyss :D

okay so i looked at a bunch of old threads as well, and it seems that they look for intense interest in science that will grow at the program.
I’m so nervous!

Not to over-react or anything, but THE SUSPENSE IS KILLING ME. Just sayin’… :)

50 kids across the country will be very happy this week…

And the others will be very sad this week Oh, geez.

I’m just going to resign myself at this point…sigh

@ iambenk : That’s the best thing to do, as bad as that sounds. That way, you will be SUPER ecstatic if you get in, and if you don’t, not the end of the world (: Heck, I’m resigning myself for failure, too hahahaha

I just haven’t come across anything as cool…ever

Neither have I! There are some other summer programs out there, though, that are still very, very prestigious, awesome, and life-changing. What other programs have you guys applied to? :O

@CrxswxN, why don’t you post the stats that you got into RSI with? I would be interested to see them. Also, I would be interested in reading the essays of one accepted to RSI if you would be willing to let me. :)

@ RSIuser : I didn’t get into RSI. I’m an applicant, bro My stats can be found on page 26, though hahaha. I wanted a chance from previous rickoids. I’m flattered that you thought I got in, though :3

how much do you think they weight extracurriculars?
because i feel like for ec’s im good but its my grades that are not amazing

Hmm…I think both are weighted fairly heavily, but I think there is a certain threshold for grades that you must not pass if you want even consideration for acceptance. Hopefully that makes sense? :O

@Chrxswxn, my bad. But those are pretty impressive stats. I would estimates (my estimates are probably not anything to go off of) that you have at least a three in four chance of getting in.

@heygirlhey13, they don’t have a weighting system (as far as anyone knows). Extracurriculars are importaint, but not nearly as importaint as grades.

I estimate a 70% chance that rejections are sent out on Monday. I think that it is possible that there will still be people working on the weekends, even if they won’t send out emails then, so that increases the chance that everything will be ready by Monday. They were sent out on Monday last year and they might choose to do the same again this year.

@ RSIuser : Thanks, it means a lot (: But we will definitely see what happens and I am more than definitely not expecting anything haha. Let’s hope for Monday? :D

Does RSI allow people to update their application with awards and stuff past the deadline? I know it’s probably already too late for that, but I was just wondering, since some programs are fine with that xP.

I think so. They allowed me to update my transcript, but you would have to e-mail them to be sure… Of course, it’s way too late now.
