Rsi 2012

My mom also called earlier today, and she reached someone who told her that decisions would be coming out the last week of March.

Ok this is getting ridiculous…RSI has now told people at various times results could be released ANY week this month

I attempted to email in a last-minute update today (I was recently chosen to present at a local research competition, and was even chosen over even a Siemens regional finalist, who’s a senior at my school). It probably was too late to affect admissions decisions, but I emailed it directly to Maite, who in her response (which came less than an hour after my original email), mentioned that emails would come out this week:

"thanks for letting me know you will receive e-mail from us this week, congratulations and thanks for your patience

best,

maite"

That was just after 3pm EST today. Sorry to add yet another time, but since this was directly from Maite, I figured it would ease some anxious applicants…I know I haven’t thought about anything else since the beginning of March.

Good luck to everyone!

Thank you, chemMIT, you have made my day bright again <3 Much love

I guess we’ll all be finding out soon. This has been a crazy ride in the past few days, either way I’m glad I applied

Agreed. I’m so excited that this drama over the last hours have made me so so so angry ): Patience ugh haha

Awsome! If the results are coming out this week, they will probably keep with their promise in the application to send them out the first week of March AKA tomorrow.

@Bimby3, I live in a small town. The only professors for miles around are those at the local community college and I doubt that any of them would be willing or even able to help me research. And there are other good programs, but they all pale in comparison to RSI. In fact, I read on the TASP website that “TASP is widely considered to be the second most prestigious summer camp in the country,” behind RSI, of course. If they are willing to admit flat out like that that they are only second best, RSI must be something special.

I think you may be interpretting “first week in March” too literally RSIuser, Thursday and Friday seem very plausible too. We’ll see! I hope they come out tomorrow too

apparently two years ago some of the rejects were in the mail too o_____o"
but not last year
rsi is so unpredictable!!!

@ iambenk : I agree. But hopefully it’s tomorrow because I’ll be out of town without access to computers on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday ):

@ heygirlhey13 : I personally think this e-mailing/mailing system they used last year works perfectly.

I would prefer all email or rejects + alternates get emails personally

@ iambenk : I concur with the alternates + emails. I think acceptees would need to be mailed because they get a package or something like that

well atleast we now know that it will be out this week!!!

@RSIuser ohh i see, that’s too bad. yes, RSI is definitely THE most competitive summer science program in the US-- it only accepts 50 people in the entire US after all!! I was just saying that even though RSI is definitely on a different level, other programs are still worth applying for and still offer real research experience. anyways, good luck!

TASP is an incredibly different program from RSI, though. I was considering applying, but it’s not geared toward anything very math-science specific at all. I did apply to Clark and MITES, though. Anybody else here that applied to either? :O

well … for all of you : i found out i got accepted today :S

@ Killzslayz : How?

in my e-mail :S

Wait…Is this real? So…All people who didn’t get e-mails got rejected…? I’m so confused.

■■■■■?.. We’ve heard from RSI many times today emails haven’t been sent
