i think the rest of the notifications will come out on monday
@Xiangestinium sometimes they do, but definitely not from the same school - congratulations though!
rsi end my pain quickly plz LOL
welp our fates will soon be sealed once the next batch of emails are sent out
Do you know if your application is rejected or do they only notify the people accepted
I emailed RSI over the weekend about not receiving a notification and I received a response from Maite this morning. There are no more emails going out. If you did not receive your results you need to email them and provide them with your name, address, and date of birth and she will get back to you with result. Sorry guys. As suspected, a server issue. Good luck!
SO EXCITED I FORGOT TO ADD…ACCEPTED! Weekend of torture all worked out…lol. Good luck everyone who hasn’t heard!
YESS GOOD JOB MEDIAPR
and I’ll email maite…oh gosh >.<
How long do you think it will take her to respond?
@mediapr
Which state do you live in
A small one…
@ameer91 I live in FL but I go to school in MA. I think that classifies me in MA for these purposes.
not accepted hope you all enjoy your stay!
get accepted or not, we’re all great XD
@daniiiiis I would like to clear up this misconception that the acceptance rate is 1%. RSI receive 1200 applicants not around 4000. The acceptance rate is 4.2% (which doesn’t sound like a big difference from 1% but with almost 3000 fewer applicants, it actually is).
@Multiverse7 Thanks bro, I noticed that too. I was going off of previous statements that I had read that there were around 4,000 applicants. And yes it is a big difference! But in reality it doesn’t feel like it makes it any easier to get in.
^^ Word.
I did not apply for the programme, but every body I know got rejected.
Do not get your hopes low. R.S.I. and M.I.T.E.S. (Their engineering programme) are extremely hard to get into, and do not let this deter you from applying to M.I.T. Many people get rejected from the summer scholarships but accepted to actual M.I.T.
From what I have heard each of these camps are extremely biased towards URMs. So if you are a URM and at least decently smart, you will get in. They are actually not biased towards ISEF finalists that much…
However, if you were lucky enough to get accepted, you pretty much earned a spot into any school in America (M.I.T., Harvard, Stanford).

Although I do believe that RSI is a great hook for your college apps, I don’t think it means a guaranteed admission to any school really (especially for int’l applicants - I know a few Rickoids who got rejected from their 1st/2nd choices).
@agupte Please don’t make generalizations like that about URMs. There’s no guarantee for ppl like that either. They’re held to the same standards. MITES doesn’t discriminate against race, sex, Creed, etc.
