Is there a State Quota/Limit?
It seems RSI tries to represent as many states as it can, and in past years it was very rare for more than 5 people from the same state to be admitted.
Oh I thought it was basically 1 from smaller states and 2 from the larger ones (TX, California, etc.)
@bob6500 Oh maybe, I’m not really sure. It seems like thats what they aim for, but sometimes end up doing something else, like I think last year or a couple years ago 4 people were accepted from CA
Does MIT admissions give weightage to RSI admittance?
I was just looking at RSI recommended stats and it recommends that your PSAT math be at least 76. I took the new PSAT so the scores were on a 38 scale, does RSI know this? Will it look bad if I have a 37 for PSAT math?
As long as you sent in your score reports, they will know. Also, I thought the new PSAT Math was out of 76, and it was just reading and writing that were split to 37/38.
Sweet, thanks. On my score report reading, writing, and math are all on a 38 scale. There is also a 760 scale for math and then writing as a whole, so I was kind of confused of what to put.
Do you guys think scores will come out today? 11:00 EST is <6 minutes from now.

I think it’s going to come out tomorrow. Also, my dad emailed them about the whole PSAT thing, since they changed the format for the last one, and they said they just didn’t update their application but they know that it’s out of 38 now.
I want to just get the rejection over with lol. With my stats, I am probably nowhere near what they are looking for.
