Does anybody hear about this before?

If you are a RSI qualifier last year, please tell me what do you think impress the admission officers the most on your application?

Go the the High School Life forum- there's a very long thread about RSI there.

yes,,,, VERY VERY long thread. (from staticsoliloquy i think)

Are there other programs like RSI?

girls should check out WTP (Women in Technology) program, also at MIT.
Here's a list of various programs:
http://www.ams.org/employment/mathcamps.html

Let's see now. I first heard about this program late Saturday night from this thread. Monday morning I woke up and decided to apply. After school I lined up two teachers and begged them to do recommendations for me by tomorrow. Afterwards I went to the GC and acquired my PSAT and school transcripts. In a few hours I am going to whip together an essay. Tomorrow on the deadline I will run to the post office and see to it that the envelope will be postmarked. Wow...this is definitely one of the craziest things I've done.

deadline is 9th now, don't stress and screw up the essay

Whaaaa????

CEE moved the deadline to the 9th. However, that means the ap has to be IN by the ninth, not postmarked by th eninth. The info is not updated on their front page, but it is on the application page.

What kind of extension is that? It used to be "postmark by Feb 1st." Now it's "receive by Feb 9th". Depending on your shipping, it could either be an extension or a shortening of the deadline.

FedEx overnight for the win!

Does Fedex do "postmarks"?

the postmark won't matter as long as the actual aplication is in by the 9th. It has to be, MATERIALLY, not in spirit, present at the CEE offices at MIT by the 9th.
