Ruh roh!

I messed up today by uploading the parent statement for my daughter into my son's SSAT application. I called them right away and they told me to email about it...haven't heard back yet. I did contact the schools as well.

Anyone else make any mistakes during the application process? I feel as though I ought to reassure the schools that my kids are smarter than me!

LOL
The mom who can’t tell the boy from the girl.
Rest assured there are plenty of parental snafus.
I made several last year but I can’t remember them now. Forgetfulness helps me to survive the shame.

Oh, it’s all coming back to me now. Much too late one night a year ago, I was emailing my daughter’s music files to the schools, and of course I sent them individually with a short email note tailored to the school. As soon as I hit “send” to School Y, I realized that the note gushed about how I thought my kid would be a great fit at School X. Oy! I was mortified, and immediately emailed the AO to apologize for my inexcusably careless mistake. She responded instantly – and said “No worries, I promise! Really, this stuff happens ALL THE TIME.” I didn’t believe her, really – but my kid was accepted, so it guess it wasn’t that big of a deal. ;)

My mom has cried in 2 of 5 interviews! But I love her anyway. :D

Your case much better. My friend’s son had the same case. The only difference was it was the student that sent it that way, not parent. Sigh…

He was accepted anyway and went on to the Ivy school this year. His high school adviser made sure he would not repeat the same mistake. So funny.

Still laughing at “Ruh roh!”

Well, at least I haven’t cried in any interviews yet. (I’ve come close.) Good to know I’m not alone…while I still remember this. :-)

I still think the bleeding story wins the prize. Try not to bleed all over the AO’s desk is just good, solid advice.

Agreed. Definitely trying to avoid that one. :-)
