Just some things I'm not quite sure about which will hopefully get cleared up by the collective pool of knowledge at CC.

1) The right way to ask a complete stranger to dance with you

It seems like guys just approach girls from out of nowhere, grab them, and start dancing. Is that the normal etiquette?

2) The normalcy of a dance/makeout session with a stranger

How normal is it to lock lips with a dance partner? Is it widely accepted as a casual and spontaneous thing, or does the other party have a right to be offended?

3) Don't go and actually do something productive with your evening.

If it means going out with a girl/boyfriend to dinner/movie or whatever, fine, if it means staying at home and playing video games and watching TV or going online, fine still, but I've never seen the lure in going to these overcrowded dances with the same people that you attend school with and just saw earlier that day.

...

Well hey, nobody posted in your topic, this oughta get things started.

No, that's a douchebag move. If you want to dance with a girl, give her eye contact, walk up to her and ask.

I'd say it's pretty normal, depends on the chemistry.

Depends. I'm about 50/50. Sometimes I'll hold out my hand and ask her, other times I'll get behind her and start from there. Really depends on if the girl looks like she's feeling me. Sometimes you miscalculate, but usually it isn't that bad. Once, however, I got a lecture but took it like a man. What kind of dance are we talking about? The awkward ones with the lights on and everyone sober or the drunken ones?

Pretty normal. I almost always wait for her to make the move though. Your friends might stare and laugh, but no one else bothers you.

Usuallllly its better to know the person who you're dancing with. As a girl, I really don't like knowing the guy I'm dancing with...I mean as long as your'e pretty hot Im down with that...but if not...hell no. Get away from me!

Um yea that happens alot haha. Most of the time ur drunk anyways
