We're so thug!

Well...depends.

What are your interests?

THe campus is basically split into North Side (arty people) and South side (sportsy people) kinda. There are dorms inbetween.

Okay, here are dorm stereotypes.

McConnell - crazy *****es
Dvnbar - Meth lab and drunk 24/7 or study your ass off to get a 10.6
Bancroft - jocks, tizight
Amen - blonde, anorexic, hottest dorm on campus <333
Kirtland and goulde - houses, you won't be here. This is only for uppers and seniors

That's south side

north side is

Langdell - 50s pep cheerleader
Merril - Same as Langdell
Wheelwright - Chillest girl dorm
Hoyt - falling apart. most underated in terms of hot girls
Lamont - if you're butt ugly and like D&D <333 Lamont

OH! And the newly rennovated dorms as of Fall '06 will be

Dvnbar, Amen, Hoyt.

And Wheelwright isn't that bad looking.

Worst dorms (in terms of conditions):

1) Lamont
2) McConnell
3) Langell/Merril

Best dorms in terms of people:
1) Merrill/Langdell
2) Lamont
3) Dvnbar

Worst dorms in terms of people:
1) Amen
2) McConnell
3) Dvnbar

(Dvnbar is the largest dorm on campus, so you can understand it has amazing people and bad people)

Dvnbar. Not Dunbar?

It's spelled with a 'v' on the building. So most people spell it with a v.

I can't decide if that's extraordinarily pretentious or just really endearing. Never mind me, carry on. :)

It's actually more pretentious. We decide to write the letter 'u' as the Romans did, thank you very much :p jk jk

Yeah, I figured that was the reason. But it's still endearing in a twisted sort of way.

By the way, what year are you?

'08

Yeah LOWERS.

raises eyebrows

You come off older...but you probably knew that!

That's sad, though, because it means you weren't at Exeter when my friend was. All my hopes of reminiscing--shattered.

I'm quite cynical, I know. I'm also one of the "B*tch Three"

Which means, I was deemed one ot he *****iest people on campus. lol.

Just wondering, but what dorm are you in?

I have to choose my dorm because of medical things (I have to have a single room etc.). And I want to be on the North side (Near the academic buildings), out of those girls' dorms which one is the best people wise? You say Langdell is good.. is it more brainy/funny kids or what? And is Langdell THAT nasty conditions wise??

Thanks for all your help, btw! I really really appreciate it.

I'm in a house. Browning Hall.

Houses are just for people they couldn't fit in any dorms. AKA the most laxxxx.

Umm.
Well, are you sure you want North Side? Are you more artsy or sportsy? Because everythign art is close to North Side. Theatre, Art Center, Music Building, etc.

Hmm. BUt yeah. Langdell is better than Merril condition wise. Wheelwright is the best girl's dorm on North side. Hoyt is the second most fallen apart, but it's getting renovated this summer, so it might be awesome. Just like Amen and Peabody (who recently went with renovations).

I'd say the closest to everything would be Langdell, because it's right across Phillips Hall, and it's closer to the Academy Building, Science center, and Music Building by a few feet.

Lamont is just bad. Don't go to Lamont. >< I love lamont, but it's just BLECH.

Langdell and Merril are pretty much the same...but yeah. North Side RULES.

The more witty people are in Lamont though...Langdell has more peppy type of girls.

I'll give you SNs I guess. Of people in those dorms, and see which one you like the most

Just IM me on AIM

Die Noh Sawr Rar and I'll give you SNs of people in diff dorms so you can talk to them about it.

Langdell's also artsier/edgier than Lamont, which is artsy/nice/sweet, rather than artsy/cool. Think...Lamont = painting watercolors on a bridge, rather than Langdell = rocking out to Velvet Underground in NYC.

(Langdell pride - I'm movin gin next year)
-the other member of the ***** Three. The nice one.

I'm in McConnell now. South side. Lots of peppy, sporty, sweet girls...not artsy at ALL.

Sorry, my AIM is temporarily completely over-loaded with pop-ups, so I'm not going to dare to open it right now. Thanks though.

Yeah, I'm more brainy/artsy than sporty.

Other than Wheelwright, if you had to choose between Merril, Langdell, and Lamont, which would you choose? Taking all the factors into consideration..

Lol, you really hate Wheelwright. Well, I guess it really isn't your type. It's more the oddball North Side dorm.

Umm. HOYT! Jk, even though Hoyt is goign to be nice next year.

Depends though.

Nerdy = Lamont

but

Lamont = close to science center and health center and theatre and music building

Langdell/Merril = close to Phillips Hall and Academy Center

The distance from Lamont to PH and AC is about the same as the distance from M/L to SC and HC

So, do you want to be close to science and music and theatre or religion math history english and languages?

Lamont is also in terrible conditions. TERRIBLE. There's leaky pipes in the common room.

langdell has outspoken preps. It's totally awesome. I'd go for Langdell, but it's your choice ^^

Langdell it is. That's what I was leaning towards too.

THANK YOU for your help!!!! You have NO IDEA how much I appreciate it!!

Meow! I'm glad. I hope you like it ^^

Btw, sorry for being a bi0tch.

Langdell is full of awesome peeps.

I'd actually recommend NOT requesting a dorm. The deans do an amazing job placing people where they "fit" best. I requested McConnell and ended up hating it because it wasn't a good fit, feel-wise, and am moving to Langdell. So I'd say: let the deans place you. They're probably going to be right.
