Rumors has it that Columbia gives the least weight to SATs... Is this true? Even on their websites, standardized test scores are mentioned on the last line of the FAQ with implication of least importance.

"The students record of participation in the life of his or her school and community is also important, as is his or her performance on standardized tests."

That line means both sats and school stuffs are important.. It DOES NOT SAY the SATs are least important.. But probably compared to other schools of similar calibre, Columbia does give slightly less weight to the sat.. But definitely it is not the LEAST important factor

look at the middle 50 or whatever on collegeboard, and compare that to schools with similar acceptance rates. I think it's safe to say they care less about test scores than other schools of the same caliber.
