hey guys, I stupidly sent all of my SAT scores using rush delivery because I stupidly waited this long to send my SAT scores. Now I dont know if the schools I sent it to will even accept the rush deliveries. The schools are as follows:
Cornell University, University of Maryland-College Park, University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign, Penn State, Lehigh University, Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, Georgia Institute of Technology, Harvey Mudd College, University of Pennsylvania, Carnegie Mellon University, and Northwestern University.
Any help will be greatly appreciated. unfortunately about all of the schools are closed already and will be for the weekend. should I just sent my SAT scores regularly to all of them? even though that would be another 100 bucks
HEELLLLLLLLLPPPPPPPP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

please, I know there's a college genius out there that has memorized all the colleges that do and do not accept rush deliveries for SAT scores.

help please help

If you rush them, which sends them by mail, it still sends them at the regular electronic reception date that the college has set up. You have both your bases covered.

damn, you must have spent a ton of money on those rushes.

damn right I spent a lot of money on those rushes. Who knew applying to colleges was so expensive? add up the prices of SATs, APs, application fees, and submitting scores and you can easily reach $1000. Thanks for the reassurance.

Just email each college to double check that they'll take the rush scores. A few schools won't because the rush scores are NOT sent through the regular computer database that the College Board uses which means more work on their end adding individual rush scores to the system. However, it shouldn't be a huge problem the majority of schools but I'd still check..

And, while there may be a "college genius" here who tries to answer this question for you, it is ultimately YOUR responsibility as an applicant to verify the school's preferences directly with each school. I wouldn't rely on answers given here without at least verifying it for myself with each school.

Good luck!

thanks carolyn, or should I call you college genius?

All I know is that Cornell does not want you to rush... I called and asked a bit over a week ago.

"damn, you must have spent a ton of money on those rushes."

It only costs an extra 20 something dollars regardless of how many reports you send... You pay one additional flat fee

Well. My college app fees alone cost close to $1000. That's not even considering the cotton paper, the report folders, the transparent sheets, the envelopes, the posting fees I had to pay for. Then the official transcripts from the colleges I took classes from, the score reports...

Damn. It costs a lot just to even apply. We haven't even gotten around to paying for the college we're going to. =_=

I feel money-raped.

You should've applied online...

I paid...$305 in application fees. $54 in score reports. About $5 in stamps. Nothing close to $1000. It doesn't get too ridiculous if you don't let it.

My AP/IB tests, on the other hand, will total over $1000.

Cotton paper eh I just used regular printer paper :P Hope that doesn't ruin my chances.

Well. I'm applying to 20 colleges. x_x I was going to apply to just 6 total at first, but bmy mom insisted that I better apply to more colleges, cause my chances of getting into any college are too low.

Lol, regular printer paper is fine. I'm just... kinda anal in presentation. :P

I am doing online. The mail supplies are to send in supplementary material. XP They're not off the top expensive, but they all come straight out of my pocket, so it hurts, especially after Christmas giftings.

cotton paper? That's pretty hardcore.

20 colleges! That's insane. I applied to one school, paid $40 app fee and about the equivalent of $5 to mail it, and $9 to send my SAT scores (I think it was 9)

Its the IB exams that are going to kill me- the bill came out to 677 euro.

Cotton paper is especially hardcore if all your information is just going to get typed into a computer anyway.

scarletleavy - 677 Euro?! How much is each exam? Ours are 85 each, plus another 85 for the EE stuff. So I come out to around $600 for the diploma I think.

Ours work out to 113 or so each. I'm not sure why. I nearly freaked out when I saw the bill.

Eek, I guess our school subsidizes more of the cost than I thought.
