Anyone know how Brown’s dept. in Russian is? Does the Slavic Studies degree ensue politics and history? I assume if Brown didn’t offer a concentration in E. European/Central Asian politics then someone could design one, right? Anyway, these are big questions for me to consider when picking a college (I’m a junior). Russian is one of my main interests right now and I know I want to at least spend time there in school, if not in my career. Do many Brown students choose to take the path po-ruski? please let me know!

for a slavic languages department, they seem to have great resources (they have their own old stately department building in a prime location, etc.)

sounds like you'd want to double concentrate in slavic languages and IR, which is pretty common and easy to do
