Rutgers BA/MD

i am kind of confused, the 7/8 yr med program at rutgers at the NB campus,
is that program straight out of high school or do you apply for it while your at RU ?

their site makes it sound like you apply for it while you in your second yr of college. can some please clarify this for me.

also if anyone knows a thread that has the accepted rutgers ba/md ppl can you give me a link.

much thanks,

OMG

you apply when you’re a sophomore at Rutgers.

It depends. You apply to UMDNJ in your sophomore year in college at Rutgers-NEW BRUNSWICK. If you want to apply in high school, you apply to UMDNJ in your high school senior year through Rutgers-NEWARK. You can find this information somewhere on the Rutgers website.

thanks EraserXIV and bluewind, i thought so, i just wanted to confirm that.

and while i am hear asking when you apply they only look at your college grades right ? does anything from high school get looked at ?

If you’re applying to med school in college, then yes, only college grades. If you apply during high school and get accepted into BS/MD programs based on your high school grades, most colleges will still make sure that you keep up a minimal college GPA so that you are still qualified for medical school.

but in the rutgers nb ba/md program if some one were to apply for that then only their college grades would be looked at ?

bump

please answer

um, i would think just college grades in that case.

thanks yea, i guess that would make sense.
