so i heard this on the train on the school. i tried looking for it but cannot find any info but these 2 seniors were talking about how after 2 years of rutgers u could possibly attend a med program? is this true?

could someone give me all the details?

cmon guys? not even one guy can answer me?

nevermind i sorta found it i guess but can someone explain to me the whole program:
i sorta found it on this website:
UMDNJ-Robert Wood Johnson Medical School (UMDNJ) in conjunction with Rutgers- New Brunswick (Rutgers) (8 year program) Applicants matriculate after sophomore year, need five letters of recommendation from Rutgers faculty, minimum undergraduate GPA of 3.3, and must provide high school/college transcripts. (that is the description. actual website is here:[BA/MD School Listing - Medical and Dental School Help](http://www.medicalhelpnet.com/content/view/28/46/))

anyways now someone explain to me it says 8 year program. does that mean i spend 2 years of the ‘rutger’ life and then another 8 years of med?

check out this site [index.gif
specifically Rutgers University HPO Special Programs](<a href=“Error Page”>Error Page)

just wanted to help u since knowbody is…
U have to go to rutgers and finish ur prerequisites such as Calc, chem, etc.
Not only do u have to do that but u have to be among the top 5 students lol or something outrageous i think. They pick the best of the best and place them on the 7 year program which is 3 years at rutgers and then 4 years med school plus I think u get the med school payed for but idk… I am just trying to remember what the professor said when I toured the pre-med program, but yea it is really competitive and not only do u have to be smart but lucky enough to even be noticed.

dam thanks bro. seems pretty challenging. i plan on making rutgers my safety for next year. does it matter what ‘branch’ of rutgers u go to?
