Has anyone gotten admitted as a regular decision applicant yet?
Thank you so much! I’m currently reading a lot about UIUC and the AE program, and I’m beginning to really love the college. It’s still not my top choice, but I think it’s a super solid fallback in the likely event my crazy reaches fail.
@ByteZz thanks and we are close to hitting the decline button to make room for some other student hopefuls. UIUC is an excellent school, you certainly can’t go wrong… and I’ve heard UC it’s a great city as well. I’m sure you will do very well there! Congrats!
Congrats on UIUC! Champaign-Urbana is accessible by Amtrak from Chicago (~$15 one way) and several charter bus companies run multiple trips daily back and forth from O’Hare/Midway to UIUC if you’re concerned about how accessible the school is from Chicago.
Hey! I was admitted to the School of Engineering at Rutgers. I applied in the regular decision round (December 1st).
@WildestDream Whoa! That’s a lot cheaper than I thought it’d be. Thanks for the information! UIUC is really pulling me in haha.
Wow I’m late but I got the Presidential Scholarship from SAS NB - 97.59/100 GPA, 35 ACT.
@ByteZz Congrats on UIUC AE.
Thank you! I’m pretty excited.
Yes. I live in India. However, I have never been in any of the Indian education systems, as I go to an international school.
@ByteZz RU will ask what schools you were accepted to, how aid compared, and why you chose your school over RU.
I took the time to let them know I was completely disgusted with the lack of support for highly qualified New Jersey students. Don’t hold back!
Anyone hear from ru-Newark College of arts and sciences yet??
Congrats. Do you know what the requirements are for admission to the Honors Program for SAS and RBS? For example, UW GPA, ACT.
Anyone still waiting on an award letter? Nothing on the portal yet for my son.
@DemonDad I’m waiting too. But I had to send in my naturalization papers. I’m only hopeful bc the Honors College said that those who get in get some scholarship. But someone said on my thread that their child didn’t get anything.
@DemonDad I am
@DemonDad and @yungIrving99. From what I read on Go Rutgers, you should not be waiting unless you are an international student or did not file a FAFSA. They suggested going to the financial aid page and clicking on the button for documents required instead of the awards button. If they need more information from you (such as poster above needing naturalization papers) it will show there. Also if you can not get in, did not file a FAFSA ignore the instruction of using the last 4 digits of RUID instead of social and try the social, i think they said they have it if you are A citizen and had it on the application. If you still do not get in to the info, they suggest calling Financial Aid.
I got into SAS and NB business and got pretty generous financial aid even though my bracket usually doesn’t. So idk lol
does anyone know when the financial aid info comes out for me it says Your record is not in our database. Please contact your campus Financial Aid Office.
Thanks for the comments everyone. As an update to my situation; I didn’t file a FASFA, so I am still waiting on a potential merit award. I called R’s fin aid office yesterday and they said they are still working through the backlog and not to worry.
