Rutgers Early Action for Fall 2022 Admission

when do the RD results come out ?

Feb 28 is normal date, however, under updated footnote, " Students deferred to regular decision remain in the applicant pool for final admission notification by no later than the end of March. Rutgers encourages students deferred to regular decision to update their Self-Reported Academic Record with senior year grades by the first week in March".: https://admissions.rutgers.edu/apply/dates-deadlines#tab=panel-3&chapter=fall-september-2022-application-dates-amp-deadlines-1043

I read the same thing a few day ago, but their email about being deferred promises admissions decision by the end of February.

The first line in that link:

If this is your first time enrolling in a degree program at Rutgers, use the Rutgers or Coalition application. To continue or check the status of an application, visit your Application Portal. You can also view other undergraduate applications below.

My daughter used the Coalition Application. The SRAR was done there prior to submitting her application. In fact, you can’t submit until it’s done.

The Coalition Application like the Common Application collects ALL the information for the applicant then downloads it all.
Rutgers did that.

Penn State wanted it again on their Portal so she did it. Rutgers requested a SRAR after downloading it from the Coalition App, and receiving the mid-year report from HS and college transcripts with fall semester grades.
There was no section on her portal to do this.

You treat me like this is my first rodeo. This is #4 child heading to college; However my first applying to Rutgers.
The University happens to be close to both her brothers (we’re in CA).

She did not apply on their website. She applied through their approved vendor.

Not a Rutgers question but should you let schools you aren’t attending now

Yes definitely so it opens spots for those waiting.

Do you think that changed? Seriously that’s not rightZ

I found it on the website before S22 got the email. I was actually pleasantly surprised by the email promising a decision by the end of February.

Yes, you should let the schools you won’t attend know. In most cases, you should be able to do it from your portal. They may ask why in some cases, but you don’t have to specify your reason.

D did not get an email about being deferred. Actually, she didn’t get an email to check her decision either. Just checked portal and it was there.

S22 found it on his portal first too. He eventually received an email from Rutgers on Friday afternoon. The subject was “Important: Your Rutgers Application Is Deferred to Regular Decision”

Thanks @mathKids Something like that would stand out and I’m sure she didn’t get it.

Has anyone deferred to regular decision heard back yet?

still waiting on RBS

We haven’t gotten an email yet about my daughter’s NB deferral, but we JUST got her acceptance email from Newark yesterday and she was accepted there back in December!

Anybody got accepted this week?

heard someone said they do not tell you merit $ until you commit. Is it new?
That was not the case few year ago when my older applied.

Not true, doesn’t even make sense, merit is a bribe to get students to accept.

Agree. let see we get info in mail soon
