Hello. I am a junior at Rutgers SAS and I am interested in applying to Rutgers Ernest Mario School of Pharmacy when I graduate in spring 2020. However, due to personal issues my GPA has gone down and by the time I graduate I will have about a 3.0 GPA. I know that EMSOP have higher requirements for transfer students, but will they consider my personal problem? Also, I have been receiving statements from my family and friends that I should not apply to pharmacy schools anymore because of my family problems and because of how expensive it is. Also, I am also facing financial problems and have trouble getting a job.u don’t think my family will support me financially if I get accepted to any pharmacy school. I just don’t know if I should give up my dream to become a pharmacist.
honestly, i think you should try to talk to an advisor or someone who can tell you how your chances are and if they’ll consider your personal problems and stuff because i’ve heard that pharmacy is the second hardest to get in besides nursing and i think you should talk to a counselor/advisor to see what they say but definitely apply BC U NEVER KNOW and maybe apply to some other schools, if possible, just to be on the safer side! But I hope everything works out for you &&&& you can be fulfill your dreams and be a happy pharmacist!
