Maybe that’s it then. I’m NY and I heard that the NY state schools were quick to grab out of staters due to the higher tuition rates. Maybe same for NJ state schools.
I know some friends who heard back from the SAS but not the engineering yet (in-state as well)
I believe that. My son still waiting on one SUNY (our state school) and accepted to Rutgers within a few weeks.
Well I’m out of state (FL) and I haven’t heard back yet either. I got a 32 on the ACT and I have a 3.3 UWGPA, so I’d say I’m 90% sure to get in, but I haven’t heard yet. So I think it’s really foolish to read so much into it and try to get inside the heads of the admissions officers. But I’ve said things like this before on CC forums and it usually seems that I am talking to a bunch of brick walls. I don’t know why I’m wasting the effort here as well.
@CollegeCO2020 , what major did you apply to? that makes a difference as well
@CollegeCO2020 it sounds like you’re frustrated but you have a great ACT and perhaps a bit lower on the GPA but I agree that you’ll get in.
Then don’t waste your effort ^^
@coco2222 Yikes! you need to relax. People are trying to help you here.
@motortrend I applied for history-SAS. @LIParent101 I’m frustrated that I keep seeing that there are more comments on this thread, thinking that those are acceptances and that I should check my status, when in fact it is just useless, idiotic speculation.
@coco2222 I’m trying to impart on you and people like you that you are stressing yourself out and wasting brain power to try in vain to get into the heads of college admissions officers, a group of people who, especially at Rutgers, are known for being very cagey. No one on this thread (including me!) knows anymore than you do, and asking us isn’t going to get you any reliable answers. But apparently you are incapable of understanding that.
According to someone I know, Rutgers makes quick decisions for definite acceptances and rejections. They stall on the rest of the applications.
@pokemon1 I think you probably are right. This year a lot of schools seem to be doing that. Can be frustrating.
@CollegeCO2020 maybe you didn’t understand me but i am NOT stressed out at all I am just curious when the admissions will be out and I was simply consulting with others to guess possibilities that’s it.
@islandgal I’m sorry if I offended you, but in my opinion I believe I suggested an option for collegeco2020 because he seemed frustrated with dealing with people using the forums
Hmm I haven’t heard anyone get rejected yet @pokemon1
@coco2222 and evidently you don’t understand my point, which is that it’s completely pointless to try to garner that information here. But I’m genuinely glad to know you’re not stressed out. Seriously. Good luck to everyone on here.
@CollegeCO2020 Thank you Good Luck to you as well. I understand your point very clearly, but when it comes to waiting for one of your top-choice schools it’s quite hard not to ask such information.
First, no one here has any idea what admissions counselors are thinking or doing. When someone here offers an opinion, it is well-intentioned speculation. If that type of info is good enough for you, keep asking. It will get you nowhere, though.
Second, and of more relevance, Rutgers is a HUGE school. When the next batch of decisions is released, this forum will be flooded with posts. The complete lack of such recent posts means no decisions have been released recently.
My advice is to keep checking this forum as you will know as soon as the next batch is released. Good luck!
How do you know if you’re in the honors college? And what about merit scholarships?
I’m out of state (CA)
I am in state and I have not received any decision yet. My status says in progress but I can not wait anymore. My friends have received the decisions already but not me.
I’m waiting too but just be patient man.
