So, I applied to Rutgers (New Brunswick) as an early action applicant, which had the deadline of October 1st. But I have yet to receive a decision.

Now I have friends who have applied to Rutgers (still New Brunswick) and have found out their status in four days. So I'm a little perplexed - I was under the impression that applying early action would grant a quicker decision, yet people who have applied months after I have already know whether or not they've been accepted?

I know the matter of majors shouldn't be an issue, as my one friend and I applied to the same schools (Arts and Sciences) but I have not heard back yet.

I applied on Oct. the 31st;finally, got admitted today. My cousin from last year got her admitted status in May so as long as it say “In Process” there’s still hope.

Well, my friend who had got admitted had significantly lower stats than I did… So, I’m legitimately confused as to how they are accepting applicants

Some counselors take their sweet time when accepting people so all you have to do is wait my friend. They have over 70 admissions people so probably half do it quick and the other half take their time.
