It is just not him. My school has so many people who applied after the EA and got in.
One dude applied on Dec 1 and got in the first round
From what I heard, Rutgers got too many applicants. Yes, I saw their twitter page asking for more candidates but I think they have a lot of applicants.
I am kind of sure I am in some wait list. Luckily my other safety took me in so I should be fine, but wish all others luck for who Rutgers is the only choice
Also, my friend who is in NY said all his friends who applied to RU got in. Seems like many of the out of state kids got in the first round
@highschoolisnice Where do you find the data containing the number of applicants from this year? I would doubt it was as high as last year which eclipsed all previous years.
Those of you who got your acceptance packet in the mail, does it say if you got any merit aid? I got mine today but it doesnt saying anything about merit aid, so im thinking i probably didnt get any. Btw, I know that financial aid comes late jan.
@nyknicks1000: Look at the “First-year Student Timeline - What’s Next?” page in the packet you received in the mail. It says notification of merit awards will begin in February. Good luck!
For those wondering about Honors college, honors program, merit aid, my S applied to Rutgers last year and received an email on 1/25/17 with subject line “Your Honors Invitation.” There was a link to the honors portal and I think the merit scholarship was on there as well (although there was a problem with my son’s account and I had to call them to find out the scholarship amount). An invitation to the Honors College comes with a merit scholarship. Good luck everyone!
My Rutgers status screen shows that my status was last updated on 1/12/2018. This date changed after a very long wait of 3 months. So I hope that I might get a decision tomorrow.
