Rutgers Financial Aid. EFC: 00000

<p>So I was accepted to Rutgers New Brunswick, and I filled out my FAFSA. My EFC ended up being 00000, which I was happy about considering my family really isn't contributing anything.
I was wondering if anyone has any idea how much aid an in state student with an EFC of 00000 could expect to receive from RU.
I was also wondering if anyone knows when I can expect to receive the award letter, it does come before you enroll, correct?</p>

<p>If you have a EFC the only Financial aid that you can be assured of is a Pell grant of $5550, a stafford loan of 5500 of which 3500 will be subsidized. This still leaves a big gap in the cost of attendance at Rutgers, even as an in-state student.</p>

<p>If you are a New Jersey resident, you could see if you are eligible for any state based aid based on your Federal EFC.</p>
