So not everyone has gotten their aid yet…those that haven’t what does your financial aid portal say?
$13k Scholarship for RBS. Whoo!
$20K Yayyyy!!!
I got $20k merit! IN STATE TOO! Cost of attendance will be around only $15k
@spqr70nj The awards are in different award statements. Just a warning though, SOE scholarships are oftentimes less than SAS
@spqr70nj It’s because the scholarships depend on your child’s ranking relative to the school that he is applying to. SOE tends to be more competitive
Did anybody get more from SOE than from SAS? I’m in-state and got $28K from SOE, $19K from SAS
@wekjjslfsd @Ctaub01 @jennieey Do you mind sharing your stats? I was offered only $3500 in merit for SAS. I got 1520 SAT (800 Math, 720 ERW), 34 ACT, 4.6 GPA (weighted). I was really hoping Rutgers would offer more in merit. I’m in-state.
Wow, those instate merits are sick. So far for SAS my son got nothing. Waiting for SOE but also expect nothing. Thank goodness I just got my bonus - I don’t want this kid in debt. One of his OOS schools gave him a $22.5k scholarship for engineering and comes in less than instate Rutgers. Unreal.
My son was accepted into honors programs for both SAS and SOE. Merit scholarship is only listed under SAS, SOE wasn’t even on the scroll down list. Do merit scholarships for all schools come out at same time? At this point I guess we shouldn’t expect anything from SOE.
I received 0 in merit scholarships (in-state) with a 1460 SAT and an above a 4.0 GPA. Why did they give no money
My daughter got 0 merit also.very disappointing.
Wow, sounds almost like Rutgers puts names in a bag and random selects with different amounts. Jeeze.
$0 here as well. 1500 SAT, 4.3 weighted GPA, NMSF/F, many ECs
@IsItDoneYet wow. Those are great stats. It seems like the merit scholarships are very random.
Interestingly the merit from Engg was higher than Bus. I think cuz the tuitions are more in engg.
Dd got $8k from COE and nada from SAS. Instate, 700e/800m, 4.67 w-gpa. 11aps. Intent to major in CS so the SAS part is unfortunate.
@breesfire09 According to Rutgers, it not only looks at SAT score but also:
• Cumulative rank, when available
• Grade trends
• Strength of academic program, evidenced by the number of academic, honors, or advanced placement courses completed
My daughter got 0 merit also.Im supposed to pay for her ap tests next week.I dont think i ll bother as I dont think it would matter .Rutgers dosent seem to care about her scores.
Please know that RUTGERS rarely gives out merit scholarships with the exception of the top 5-10 percent of applicants for each school. RUTGERS is becoming a more competitive school, which is good because the students are of high caliber.
