Hey, Im looking at going on a university exchange to either Rutgers or UConn but cant decide!! Can anyone give advice for which is better in terms of location, social life, things to do on weekends and for the American university experience. Academics and price isnt too much of an issue. Thanks!

Rutgers New Brunswick campus is in a small city. There is a lot to do, with many activities on campus during the weekend. UConn is not in a city, the campus is set apart from the surrounding area. UCONN is a pretty campus. There are plenty of activities on campus for the weekends. I think social life would be equal at both schools, and probably at most schools, because if you get involved in clubs/sports you will be social. These are both good schools, it would be hard for me to pick which one would be better for you. Good luck.

I got to school 15 minutes from UConn and I visit every weekend. There’s a lot to do on campus, there are plenty of parties and they have events at the student union. The campus is pretty large and it’s aesthetically pleasing, there’s also a little plaza with restaurants and convenience stores. It’s a pretty close knit and proud community, it’s really pretty great! I’m planning to transfer there myself!
Good luck!
