Hi, I'm looking for advice for transferring from Rutgers to top ivies such as Harvard, UPENN, MIT and the like. I'm just starting out my rutgers year and was wondering what to do to improve my chances the most. I'm currently taking 14 credits: Expository Writing, Calc I MATH/PHY, Intro to Macro and Intro to Computer Science. I'm looking for a Business Major in Management Info Systems. I was wondering if I should try taking another class( supposedly comp sci and calc will be extremely hard) and if so, should I take a class relative to my major or some easy class(such as psych)? And I was also wondering if I should transfer after 1 or 2 years? My HS GPA was around a 3.6, but the thing is I had a D+ in French which really killed my GPA and I had little ECs. I also had a terrible math score, 700 but a 730 730 reading/writing. Basically,I'm trying to rid myself of my HS record so would I be better off transferring after 1 or 2 years? I was also wondering what I should do in making myself stand out. Besides taking some ECs, what else should I do? Thanks for anyone reading this and thanks in advance for any advice!

get a 4.0 GPA. transferring to Harvard/MIT/etc. is EXTREMELY difficult. make sure you have a good reason for transferring too (besides the prestige)
