Hello everyone. I’m currently a first semester freshman at Seton Hall University in South Orange, New Jersey. I couldn’t attend college during the Fall 2014 semester due to personal reasons. This semester, however, I am attempting 16 credits. Also, I am a declared Biology major. The classes I’m taking this semester are:
General Biology- Organisms
General Chemistry I
General Chemistry Lab I
Journey of Transformation (Core)
University Life (Core)
Calculus I
Now, my top choice is Georgetown. However, Rutgers is my main back up. I would love to attend Rutgers until I graduate. I am considered instate; I have been living in New Jersey for 10+ years now. On their website, it says that they need SAT/ACT scores if you have under 12 credits. My SAT was decent: 1790. 1730 is the 25th percentile for the School of Arts and Sciences, which is the school I plan on applying to. However, my high school GPA was not that great. It was around a 3.1? Something like that. Yet, I did improve year by year. My extracurriculars were impressive though. Captain of the Basketball team. Our team was nationally ranked. I could list my full resume if anyone here wishes to see the whole thing. Anyhow, if I manage to get a 3.5+ GPA this semester, do I have a good chance of getting accepted for the Fall 2015 semester? Thank you.
Also, I feel as if my SAT is decent, but it could be higher. I plan on taking the next one, which is in March. I also have 3 credits from English Composition 101, which I took during the Rutgers Summer Session in 2013.
