Any guidance on how to do this? SRAR isn’t letting me make changes to senior year
Son accepted to School of Arts and Sciences (Sports Management) and Business School (Marketing). This will be my very first college student, so please excuse me if this question is silly…but what he really wants to do is major in Sports Management and minor in Marketing. Most of the other schools he has been accepted to have both housed in the Business School. Will it be difficult to do a major/minor if they are in 2 different schools?
If you figure it…can you please update here? I can’t figure it out either.
The marketing minor is only offered at Newark, I believe. Here’s more info on how non RBS students can pursue this minor…

Edited Senior year classes to semester then first semester and did it that way. Not sure if that’s the right way but it worked lol.
The decision should be easy. If your daughter already has an acceptance from Penn that means she applied ED. Unless you’re still negotiating finances, she is obligated to accept Penn’s offer.
Maybe they’re referring to Penn State?
If you have an acceptance to Penn. what is to consider?
I assume it’s Penn state based on the other acceptances.
Id like not know how we get informed of honors or Merit?
Your student will receive emails in late Feb/early March regarding honors and scholarships. They are separate announcements - a few days to a week apart typically. But if you’re invited to honors you are guaranteed to also get merit money.
Sorry i meant Penn state.
Can OOS who get honors acceptance get the merit as well?
Yes
Anybody still waiting on EA decision, in state? portal status still says “Application Pending”
Yes, we have application submitted with everything needed checked off, but no decision
I called the admission office today, they created a ticket to look into that…
Just admitted, out of state, school of arts and sciences
Can we put down a housing deposit before committing?
Rutgers never has a problem with housing for freshman (now granted, you may be on a campus many bus stops away from where your classes are), but you’ll get housing.
For those waiting for scholarship info - keep in mind Rutgers gives a way very little money (I think when my daughter was applying a few years ago, based on the CDS, they gave merit money to about 400 students) In general, if you don’t make it into the honors college (different than individual school honors programs) don’t expect much, if anything, merit-wise (if < 1450 SAT you’ll be hard pressed to get a dime in merit).
