Rutgers Vs Northeastern

I'm trying to decide between two schools. I got the financial aid package from them and Northeastern is about $3000 more expensive than Rutgers. I plan on majoring in chemical engineering and my long term goal is grad school so I want to get as much research experience as possible.

I live in NJ and Rutgers New Brunswick is close to home, something I don't mind. But I also love Boston very much, even stayed for a 6 week summer program a few years back.

I'm very conflicted and I only have a few more days to decide. Opinions would really be much appreciated. Thanks!

I say Rutgers, but if 3K is affordable then by all means do it if you love Boston that much. 12K over 4 years is not bad - but why pay the extra $$ unless you LOVE Boston.

Rutgers is great; Northeastern is great, too.
I’ve looked at both schools. If I were accepted to both and money wasn’t a factor, I would go to Northeastern. Is paying the extra $3,000 a problem for you/your family?
If not, go to Northeastern.
If so, go to Rutgers.
Either way, you’ll be getting a great education.
