S Considering for 2011

S wants a warm weather school and this seems to be one of the top rated, good value FL school for an OOS student. Plus he is eligible for some type of scholarship based upon the stats listed on the website. I know New is always ranked very high, but as it is under 1000 students, what is campus life like. We've looked at some under 2000 schools but never anything this small.
Also, we planned on a summer visit due to schedule, I'm thinking there won't be much to see. It is a long way to visit from CT so not sure.
What can past or current students tell me?

If your son is really interested in the school, a visit is entirely necessary. You will get a feel for New College seconds after stepping on campus, but such an important decision is impossible to make based on a website alone! Touring the school made me so sure that I wanted to enroll in the fall that I didn’t want go home. Though the trip may be far, if your son is looking for a small, liberal arts college that is geared towards independent thinkers and learners…he may fall in love with NCF. They are very generous with their merit scholarships, and if that’s a concern then calling the Financial Aid office will surely answer any questions you may have.
