<p>I received my candidate number today too! I was so excited when I came home with a letter from USNA on the table!</p>

<p>xchefmike, we missed the deadline for summer session! I was disappointed that he kept this naval academy ambition to himself for a long time and finally told us his interest on April 1st this year! NASS application deadline was 3/31!
But, he is going to get a taste of the USNA from 6/23 to 6/26 by attending a cross country camp.</p>
<p>I don't know how much of a true taste that'll be. ;)</p>
<p>At my NASS last year, after our 4.30 wakeup, formation, hour-long PEP, and 2-mile run, we went to eat breakfast. Just when we were finishing up, one of the sports camps came in, having just woken up.</p>
<p>Usually, they'd come in hot and sweaty, but sometimes in the morning they'd come in barely awake. It made me so jealous :-D</p>

<p>After I got my rejection in April, I was rather relieved to not have to be checking the mail every 5 minutes. It was short-lived, though; barely a month later and I'm running to the post office every 5 minutes for my candidate number!</p>
<p>I recieved mine a couple days ago. Right in the middle of finals so now its time to get all the forms filled out. Hopefully before summer seminar!</p>
