"Congratulations. It is my pleasure to inform you that you have been selected to participate in Session 3 of the Naval Academy Summer Seminar (NASS)."

I posted this in the other NASS topic, but that was more of a discussion about NASS. Here, we shall have a list of all those accepted. Congratulations ahead of time for all those accepted. I look forward to meeting some of you.

Congrats Marine 2011. Now we'll really be watching the mail box. Navy_Hornet hasn't heard anything yet as of today (except for Session B, AFASS.)

I'm fairly certain they would let you know if you didn't get in. The Candidate Guidance Office (or whatever they call it these days), was pretty good about that way back when, and I see no reason for them to have changed that.

CB you will get a letter one way or the other. Zaphod I don't think being accepted to the NASS program has a huge effect on your admission status to USNA. This is based on a number of earlier posts which discussed that matter.

Boss: I don't know about that. I may have missed earlier posts, but I believe NASS can have a very large effect on one's admissions. The way I see it, at NASS you have a squad leader interview, and this is a qualitative component. Being that it's completely subjective, if you are given a good interview "score" by your squad leader, I imagine that holds a lot of weight. Again, this may have been addressed earlier and I missed it, but these are my thoughts.

btw, my NASS squad leader went to NASS when he was a candidate, and he said 6 of the 8 people in his squad ended up going to the Academy.
