Sac State Housing

I was admitted to Sac State and I think i’m gonna go there, but I was hoping to get a basic run down of each of the dorms? Like which are really social, which arent, etc. Anything would help  Thank you!

The on-campus dorms are all clustered in the North East corner of campus. The dining hall is shared and easily hit from each. There are a couple of other places to eat on campus that (i think) still take dining hall credit. They are kinda segregated from campus but, even the far corner of campus isn’t that far. Some dorm rooms in Sierra and Sutter will pick up a LOT of road noise but, are relatively new and offer more configurations. They are co-ed and mix guys/girls on the same floor. Jenkins and Draper are old school cinder-block dorms and, though co-ed, there are sections for guys (typically half a floor of each.) American River Courtyard is nice and new but reserved for upper classmen. Desmond Hall is newer and has a more contemporary layout and a couple of room configurations.

I think socially, they are pretty comparable.

Go Hornets!

For jenkins and draper, are they really old? Like are the amenities more worn down/the rooms smaller than the other halls? And are they freshman only halls?

They are old but, not run down at all. It can change year to year but, I believe they are freshman only now.

Are you a transfer or freshman? In the same boat as you.

freshman!
