Well I was wondering if there are any safeties out there that provide really generous aid to International students AND also they do not require you to show financial statement to support your education before they consider you for scholarship.

Ajay
PS : Full Scholarships would be awesome! :D

I guess there are quite a number that will give full TUITION scholarships, but for the whole 40-50 grands, we're looking at the ivies. But i guess all of them will need bank or salary statement in order to prepare visa documents.

Maybe there is this one, berea I think, that will give full aid to every accepted international.....Anyone has info on non-ivies that give FULL scholarships ?

There are very few if any universities which meet your criteria if any...if your stats are very good like yours, maybe try some 20-35ish ranked LACs, but again the acceptance rate for internationals with aid at those schools is incredibly low (like 7-8% ) In my opinion, there is no such thing as a safety for an international student. Period...

NDSU is a great safety if you have funds to show in your account. They give 50% scholarship to everyone and if you are a decent applicant consider tuition waived off!

Georgia Southern University - it is fourth tier university, that waives tuition for qualified internationals...I would say it's real safety...but would you consider studying in 4th tier university?

I absolutely agree...This Georgia University looks not bad...campus looks ok...I don't know about academics, but the review on www.studentsreview.com are not that bad... and it is situated about an hour drive from Savannah...

But doesnt the financial statement show that you have the money to pay the tuition, etc?
How can you make a FS without having the money?
I am unable to understand how this is possible.

That's just plain stupid. Why would colleges give you (need-based at least) any financial aid if the FS is required solely to prove that you have enough money to cover for 4+ years of college in a foreign country with extra expenses?

Most international students are either filthy rich (having $100K to spend on college while you can have that same or often a better education, at least at the undergraduate level, is what I call being filthy rich) or dreamers anyway.
