Essays should be unique, Interview should go well (I'm out-going ;]), no hooks :(

Looking at: HYPSM (especially Yale), Ivies, other top schools

come on, people! :)

I think that you could get into many, many good schools…

But it’s hard to say if you could get into THE BEST schools (like Ivy leagues for example) without a strong hook… I know many people at my school who are the math team/athlete/science olympiad/debaters that really don’t stand out at all. Yes, they do a lot, but have they done anything significant? Anything new? Innovative?

However, I do know of one guy that was the captain of debate and science olympiad with a similar stellar report card as yours that got into Yale last year… So I think that you could probably say that Ivy’s are fair reaches [since a lot of Ivy is luck] for you…

But it’s hard to come up with schools when you don’t have any in mind on your OP…

In order of preference, here is where I want to be chanced:
Yale:
Princeton:
Columbia:
MIT:
Dartmouth:
Cornell:
Lehigh:

and any other suggestions
