Safeties W/ Good International Relations/Studies, Geography Programs

Hi, I'm looking for safety schools with good programs in international relations, international studies, or geography (or all three). My weighted gpa is 4.33, my SAT score is 2130, my extracurriculars are good and my essay should be good too. I need to find some safeties though. I'm thinking American, they accept like 50%, and I've heard UWashington has good international programs. Any replies would be greatly appreciated!!!

Check out Clark in Worcester, MA. It is a safety, but good/really good in the areas you are interested in. you might be amazed at what a geography degree can do for you.

Wisconsin-Madiosn. Top geography and international programs.

I think the University of British Columbia would be a safety for you. It’s a very highly regarded school in Canada, about 2-1/2 hours north of Seattle. Vancouver is an amazing, beautiful, international city. UBC has respected programs in your areas of interest. Cost is in line with OOS tuition at a state school.

Your suggestion of UW is also a good one.

Hope this helps.

thanks everybody, i’m investigating these. keep em coming!

Indiana, possibly Michigan State

Although it wouldn’t be a safety, Boston U fits your academic needs quite nicely.

Take a look at Fordham Univeristy
They have a really good international relations program and with the average SAT score of their admittants is 1800.

Syracuse has an excellent international relations program, one of the tops in the country.

For some options in the South, look into Rhodes College and University of Richmond.

William & Mary fits the bill, but it wouldn’t be a safety.

Wisconsin Madison would not be a safety for most who are OOS (and not for a lot of in-state, either)

Are you an American or resident? If so, do you need a financial safety, too (one that would give you merit money?)
