Hey guys!!
Was wondering if you guys could help me out. Im already applying to Purdue, UIUC, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Mich State and Penn State for Mechanical engineering. Im an international student with about 75% in my high school (grades 9-12) and a combined SAT score of 2010. Just in case I get rejected by all these colleges, can you all suggest a few safety universities? Also, can you chance me or tell me if im on target for admission to these colleges?

Can anyone reply please?

West Virginia U? Kansas?Iowa? Oklahoma? Clemson?

Alabama would accept you and also give you a large merit scholarship if you apply before Dec. The app is easy…no essays, no LORs…takes like 5 minutes. EZ

Lovely Science and Engineering Complex…new, state of the art…

What is your M+CR?

Its 1260!

Actually its 1310. Is that good enough for the colleges im applying to?

so what’s the math score?

does your family have the money to attend any of these schools, including any safeties we might recommend?

1310 from one sitting? …

I misread your SAT…I thought you wrote 2110… I was hoping that your M+CR from one sitting would be at least a 1330.

Anyway, if your M+CR was a 1330, you’d have gotten free tuition plus 2500 per year from Alabama. Will you be retesting before the end of the year??

Right now, with a 1310, you’d get a half tuition award. Still a nice size - about $12k per year - but with 20 more points from one sitting, you’d get a huge award.

What is your budget …how much will your parents pay? If your parents won’t pay for all those schools, then even if you get in, you won’t have the funds to pay.

My parents are ready to pay upto 45K per year. I guess i should be fine. Also am I on target for my first choice schools?

My maths score was 680

You should be fine financially at most publics…at least the ones that are under your budget.

As for safeties, I know that Alabama would accept you, and give you a merit scholarship…so there’s a safety for you.
