I am looking for any safety schools only in California that is a 4 year that also have biology have a 2.7 gpa I know it’s low it is because I am dealing with family problems( I also retook some classes but I do not know how much it will improve) I just turned into a senior and my SAT score is a 1020( Planning in retaking it since the first time I didn’t study that much well and mostly I was mostly sick)
The non-impacted CSU’s would be good safety schools: Bakersfield, Dominguez Hills, Channel Islands, East Bay and Stanislaus. They accept applicants at the minimum eligibility index of 2900.
Again, this chart may help you figure out some options. https://www2.calstate.edu/attend/counselor-resources/Documents/freshmen-2017-admission-impaction-chart.pdf
Would CSU La, Monterey bay, and Humboldt be good safety schools?
So is your CSU capped weighted GPA a 3.35 as stated on your other thread or is it 2.7?
If your CSU GPA is 3.35, then as I stated on your other thread, your current Eligibility index is 3700.
If is 2.7, then your EI is 3180 only Humboldt may be a Low Match/Safety and the rest would be Reach schools.
If your not local to any of these Cal states, then the EI threshold for each school is as follows as of 2017:
CSULA: 3850- Not a Safety or Match
CSUMB: 3601- I would say a Match but not a Safety
Humboldt: 3000- Safety
You have to remember that the EI threshold’s for each campus will fluctuate from year to year, so even if you meet the threshold this year, it may be higher next year.
Have you passed all your a-g course requirements with a C or higher by the time you apply? We will have the minimum a-g courses completed upon graduation?
The 2.7 is my highschool gpa while the 3.35 is my CSU gpa
Sac, SF and Sonoma are all highly likely to accept you and worth a look. Chico is probably a match and is also worth a tour.
