<p>p.s. International students seeking financial aid should not confuse binding “Early Decision” with non-binding Early ACTION. In fact, some colleges may prohibit international students who require aid from applying via Early Action. Those that allow it are likely to admit only the tip-top applicants. These schools typically do not want to save a space for a high-need international student who may not ultimately enroll until that student is exceptional. </p>
<p>There are no safeties for international students who require full financial aid except for the tiny number of institutions that guarantee full-rides based on grades and test scores, and that also award those scholarships to international applicants. <p>For an international student who needs significant aid, everything else is a reach. Sorry. But that is the plain and simple truth.</p>
