I am a junior in high school, and I am looking for some schools that have excellent political science programs, but are not as selective as Georgetown and the Ivys. My dream school is Georgetown. I am pretty qualified, but I would not say I am a shoe-in by any means. What are some schools, preferably in the east or upper-south, that have great political science programs, but are not as selective?
Thank you in advance!!
Have you talked to your parents about what they will contribute?
Without your stats and GPA no one can suggest a safety school.
I have a 4.5 weighted and a 3.8 unweighted. Throughout high school, I have taken many advanced/weighted and AP courses. I haven’t taken the SAT or the ACT yet, but based on practice tests, I will likely get somewhere between a 32 and a 34 on the ACT, and between a 1400 and a 1450 on the SAT. I am in seven extra curricular activities, many of which I am an officer for, and I have interned/am interning/will be interning for at least three politicians before I submit my app. I also volunteer at many local non-profits.
GW and American definitely.
