<p>I'm the OP; yes, I'm from New England, but as I said, I will not consider large state universities (my largest school under consideration is probably Princeton, which is my reachiest-reach). However, I LOVED Colby when I visited and will apply there.

<p>I know what you mean, but here's another caution. Lots of kids at my school scored high but did not distinguish themselves from the pack of high scorers who have been tutored and packaged. They didn't get into their top choices, or even their matches. What seemed to do it was stats like yours but also something unique about them--not necc. a talent, but certainly a passion or an area of great interest and focus. SO consider that in your assessment of safeties too-and sorry I didnt read carefully about you not considering large state colleges. If you liked Colby you really should also check out Kenyon if you haven't. Good luck.</p>
