I am trying to choose between Rutgers and Saint Joseph's. I wanted to know if there are a lot of things to do on campus, how often will you take a trip to the city, if the business school is challenging, if the dorms are decent, an if overall they have nice facilities...Thanks

Student life in any bigger city is what you make of it. There are trips run by the student union to hockey games, NYC and to King of Prussia mall, etc. On campus, a building has been renovated called The Perch and has entertainment for students while being a lounge to play pool and watch TV. Basketball is big at St. Joe’s and many students cheer on the Hawks as an activity. My son really loves St. Joe’s - the people are great and the classes are so much smaller than Rutger’s. At St. Joe’s you are a person where your professors know your name. My son has never had a class with more than 30 people in it. At Rutger’s lecture halls may have at least 100. It depends on whether you feel the need to be a name or a number to the faculty. Make sure you go to admitted students day and talk to the students before you decide. There is a big difference between St. Joe’s and Rutgers.lso, the business school is quite well known.
