Saint Olaf College ED/RD Class of 2022 Thread!

Have any internationals received their admissions decision yet? Im going crazy over here :’(

Welcome to the club! May I ask where you’re from? Enthusiastic Dutchie here!

I’m from Vietnam  Oh the wait is killing me!

So when will the financial aid packet arrive?

Hey guys I thought St. Olaf’s application process is single-notification. Why do some students hear from Olaf sooner than us?

@Pham2000 The ED2 pool is receiving notification.

Yes @Momof2girlsandafrenchie I’m aware but most of us haven’t received noti yet. I thought they would send them out all at once, but I guess I’m wrong.

@Momof2girlsandafrenchie If you dont mind me asking, did you ask for a huge amount of aid? My efc was 12k so I’m kinda 99% sure that I will be deferred :’(

Hey man, it might’ve just been an error. Decisions will be released in a couple of days. Calm down and just wait it out, you’ll be ok

I got my decision via notification last Friday…

You guys think I should contact the admissions department? I’m kind of curious about the situation, and whether it means the people w/o notifications are going to be deferred/rejected.

Contacted admissions officer. Will report back with an answer.

I got deferred. This really sucks.

Thanks for the update. I’m sorry you were deferred. It may be due to your financial need. Stay strong and keep your fingers crossed.

I really like to hope so. I feel destroyed.

Stats for those wondering: 30 ACT, a 111 on the TOEFL, a 7,9/10 Avg. Grade (I’m Dutch) l, I do volunteer work and I’m the campaign manager for a local party. EFC is only like $16k. I think I wrote bad essay, but idk.

@bali4president hey welcome to the club again  im smiling in tears

I got in with stats of: 1920 (Old SAT), 3.6 GPA (Unweighted), 4.11 (weighted), EFC of $36k. I spent 3 years volunteering and working abroad before applying.

@bali4president I am so sorry to hear that you were deferred. But just remember deferred does not mean rejected.
What other schools have you applied to? I think it can be a positive thing because you can compare other acceptances. I’m still sending positive vibes your way. I don’t think it’s over yet.

I really hope you guys get in! You seem like genuine people that deserve to get in. I would love going to school with you. (I also just got accepted)
