Sam Houston State or St. Edward's for Theatre (Transfer)

Hi all! I'd love some advice.

I have been accepted as a transfer student academically to both St. Edward's University in Austin and Sam Houston State University in Huntsville. This also means that I can major in either of their theatre programs. I am graduating from my local community college this spring with my Associates in Musical Theatre. I just auditioned for Sam Houston's Musical Theatre Program but haven't been notified of anything yet.

Sam Houston State being a public university would be MUCH less expensive but I do not like the fact that it is about an hour away from Houston. I would not have the opportunity to constantly be auditioning in Houston like I would like to be but the theatre program seems like it is a good up and coming program with quite a few performance opportunities but it has a ton of majors.

St. Edward's is right in the middle of everything in Austin, which I love. The school works with Actor's Equity so I could earn points toward membership by participating in productions at school but there would also be a ton of audition opportunities close by. It also ranks pretty high in academics which is very important to me. The biggest downside I can see is the price. It is EXTREMELY expensive but my transfer GPA is high (3.8) so I could hopefully bring that cost down with scholarships.

Both schools offer good study abroad programs from what I can tell and I would probably be able to graduate from either school after two years.

Opinions?
