how difficult is it to have 2 final exams on the same day? i am thinking about taking EC11 and EN9, which both have exams on 12/13 at 9 AM and 2 PM respectively. would i burn out trying to study for them?

That happens to me every semester on at least one day, so I would get used to it. Besides, not every course actually has a final 'exam,' el11 might have a paper due or something.

nv13003 said EC11, which does have a final exam (and they definitely do it when it's scheduled, no exceptions except in the case of a genuine family or medical emergency).

It's definitely possible. Didn't you ever have this problem in high school? It can be stressful, but as long as you know it's coming and are capable of managing your time, then you'll be fine.

Actually one of them might not have final. Like EN 9 (I'm not sure about that) but you can try to talk to the respective prof. I had that problem last sem and one of my prof was kind enough to let me take the exam a few days earlier.

I have had to study for two (and one time three) finals on the same day, but I was just wondering if it was something that didn't happen or was way too stressful/difficult to do in college. How long do exams typically last for? 3 hours?

The slots are for 3 hours, but some profs choose to make their exams a little (or a lot) shorter, and some choose not to have exams at all (they usually have final papers, projects, or presentations instead). I can tell you that the EC11 final did not take me nearly that long.
