I just have a quick question. Let's say I were to submit a supplemental essay to University X saying, "I love University X so much, and I would work so hard there, and you should accept me!". Would there be any problem if I sent the exact same essay to College Y, as long as I replaced the phrase "University X" with "College Y"?

I am doing this. I see nothing wrong with it.

How would they ever know you did that anyway, just make sure you don’t accidentally forget to replace X with Y at some point. That would be very negative.

In theory it can be done, but remember that a good “Why X College?” essay really should be specific. If you can change the name of college X in your essay to college Y, you haven’t done your job.
