Same major, different specializations for BA and MA?

<p>I am a PoliSci major, with a specialization in American Politics, and would like to transition to a specialization in Comparative Politics for my MA; is this possible if I intend on applying to the top 10 programs in the field?</p>

<p>Also, would LSE be an option, given, from my understanding, their strong emphasis on GPA / ability to pay, rather than coursework?</p>

<p>Yes it is possible. Make sure you take enough courses in Comparative Politics while you are still in college. People specialize in something else for their Master's all the time.</p>
