let's say a professor teaches the same class at two different times in the same day, generally would his/her lesson be the same in both lectures? like if i were to miss one class in the morning, would i likely sit through the same class in the afternoon?

yes you can just go to the other except in the event of quizzes/tests. the other exception is "clicker" points in chem classes, you'll find out about that later

hey hopeful, for professor czworkowski's class, did he make you attend the specific discussion that you were signed up for? or could you attend any of the sessions?

i believe he reformatted his class a bit. for 6a, discussion was not required (few attended anyway) and you could switch around. for 6c, he implemented extra credit "quizzes" that required us to show up to the section we were assigned to. i'm guessing he'll use the latter system again but no guarantees. the syllabus will say on the first day
