<p>I did. I was notified this afternoon by e-mail that I got Semifinalist! YAY!</p>

I heard there usually are over 50,000 applicants and only 500 make semifinalist. I hope you'll make it through into the 75 finalists and then into the 25 in the ad (and in the money).

<p>I applied, and I didn't get anything. I swear, I've been missing so many scholarships that I applied for (Coke, SAMMY, Lowe's, Best Buy, AAA Travel Challenge State Finals). I'm just glad I got my $32k to Rollins.</p>

<p>Thanks...sorry to hear about you, but I'm in one of the regions that encompasses five states instead of the regions that just contain a single state, which i think is kinda screwy. Anyways, has anybody done this before? Can u submit more than one recommendation or will they not consider the additional ones?</p>
<p>Our S is a semifinalist too. He is so rec'd out right now, I think we're just sending in the ones we already have (which pretty much cover the bases). It
looks like they are pretty particular though, what with the # of words per rec spec'd and what they want in them. Also say that you are DQ'd if incomplete. It's a 1 in 20 chance at this stage. Good luck.</p>

<p>It actually asks for 2 Recs. Our problem is that it says 250 words max and his GC wrote 2 pages.</p>

<p>Your correct. I counted them both as recs really. The AD at his school did the "coaches" letter as he is multi-sport. The email was the same thing as the letter that was sent. At this point its all over except the spilt milk.. : )</p>
